Do you accept unsolicited pitches from first-time writers?
Yes — and we read every one. A clear angle and two paragraphs beats a long bio. If we can't use it, we'll tell you why within a week.
What's the pay structure for contributed essays?
We pay on acceptance, rates between $400–$900 depending on length and reporting depth. We also negotiate for translations and reprint rights separately.
Can my classroom write to you as a group?
Please do. Teachers send us letters every week — some become a published exchange, some just become a great afternoon for our editors. We try to reply to every classroom.
How do I report a correction on something you published?
Email the editor's desk with the article URL and the line in question. We log every correction and update the piece with a dated note at the top.
Do you do advertising or sponsored content?
Rarely, and always labeled. If your brand is a fit for our audience, the partnerships inbox is the right door — we'll send you a media kit and rates.
